I Have an Unlimited Source

As featured speaker Sylvia Gilmour reminds us, Ernest Holmes said:  “God wills us to have everything.  As we express life, we fulfill God’s law of abundance, but we do this only as we realize that there is good enough to go around - only as we know that all of God’s gifts are given as freely and fully as the air and the sunshine. . . . alike to all.”  So today we’ll explore and claim that God is our unlimited Source; all that we desire and are willing to accept is ours.

Fall Into Fall

Reverend Ruth Barnhart reflects, “Looking at balance from the understanding of Oneness, the question arises, ‘who or what is in or out of balance’? Is there something we need to do to experience balance?  Or is there even such a thing as better balance?  Exploring living the highs and lows of life.”

The Balance Point

As Sally Wells notes, “Balance occurs in the living moment.  It is a self-correcting natural order, an intelligence which is built into us.  It IS us. This means all is working together for your good,  for your growth.  The system (which is you) is perfect.  What may seem to oppose you is also you, asking for integration.  Can we anchor in truth and trust this process?  Yes!  Balance is our very nature, and it is realized through meditation.  Don’t just sit there, do no-thing.”

Where Work and Play Converge

Reverend Ruth Barnhart notes, “God has a sense of humor.  This is a line I hear frequently that always gives me pause.  What about all the serious conditions and experiences of life, the pain and suffering?  How does one take things lightly and still honor what is happening?  How do we relate to playfulness as a quality of our true selves?”

Connection Is More Important than Content

Reverend Gregory Toole notes, “So much of our relationships evolve around content: facts, data, opinions and beliefs.  Yet relationships are really about connection.  We’ll explore how to have more heart-centered relationships that transcend content and take us into greater closeness with those in our sphere.”

The Holiness of Wholeness

As Silvia Gilmour observes, “As I was soul-searching my perception of unity, I found that I believe it means harmonious wholeness.  Whether thinking of it in our own individual lives; in community with everyone and everything- everywhere, honoring life in all its diversity; as well as our innate connection with Spirit, I am convinced that true unity is a sacred state of being unbroken.  We’ll be looking at all three of those notions conceptually, interspersed with poetry to bolster my conviction of the holiness of wholeness.”

Unity - Beyond Duality

Sally Wells observes, “There is a Unity which contains all:  whole, unbroken and unbreakable.  This Reality is ever present at the center of your being.  How do we live from this heart level of being?  Are we ready and willing to give up our relative realities to know that - Unity beyond duality?”

Speaking Only the Truth

Reverend Ruth Barnhart asks, “What do we believe and do we actually know it is so?  We can promote honesty but what informs our words? Opinions, Facts? Can we recognize the difference?  And how do I find truth when your beliefs collide with mine? Oh the conundrum of oneness, how are we to proceed?”

Taking care, Being Care

Reveren. Ruth Barnhart, CSL Minister of Santa Rosa, asks:  “Do I have to take care of myself in order to care for others? Is caring for myself a selfish act? Where is the balance, how do I know when I am neglecting myself or neglecting caring for others in my world?  Is it possible that the spiritual life is about sacrificing ourselves in order to love and serve our world?  Is there a road map, a list of things to do?  Let’s explore the meaning of “love your neighbor as yourself.”
